Washington Park
Washington Park, laid out by Reinhard Schuetze in 1889, has two lakes, the largest meadow in Denver's park system and the system's largest formal summer flower beds. Smith Lake's north shore became Denver's first bathing beach in 1911, and its two-story boathouse, designed by Jules J. B. Benedict, was built in 1913.
