Central Park

Central Park covers about 4,700 acres on the site of the former Stapleton airport, which was operating by fall 1929 and saw its last takeoffs and landings on February 27, 1995. About 1,100 acres are parks and open space, including the 80-acre Central Park itself, the third-largest park in Denver and more than double the size of Washington Park.
