Sunnyside

Sunnyside began in 1872 as a settlement of about three square blocks between 38th and 41st avenues and today runs from 38th Avenue to Interstate 70 between Inca Street and Federal Boulevard. Much of the area was once small farms and orchards, and the Federal Theater, opened in 1923 at 3830 Federal Boulevard, got its Art Deco marquee in 1948.
